EDUCATION ABOUT EDUCATION

Does the education really give us more knowledge.

Education is often misinterpreted in our country and possibly in the whole world. Whenever we talk about intelligence, we tend to judge it by individual’s marksheet, for mark sheets are just gist of one’s parasite intelligence. Scoring stellar grades , is an indication of being best among others but why ain’t we curious about being the best from within. Whenever we fall in the trap of determining one’s intelligence through his/her grade graphs , we fail to understand the true essence of education .Intelligence is subjective comes with its own undeniable presence. It is having knowledge, knowledge can be acquired only through continuous hustle towards exploring things which have substance ,it is the ability to utilize that knowledge at right time. But most importantly, intelligence is knowing what is that “right time” and right education brings the intelligence with wisdom.

Education is not limited to knowing subjects but to knowing what is important to know, important for your aims, drive, own consciousness, health, surroundings which ends up serving and prospering mother earth and uniting all beings and awareness towards all possible threats.

Education is not knowing all the concepts and facts, but discovering the very base of knowledge and deriving concepts through that base- THE BRAIN RULE.
That Brain rule quote stuck with me forever since I read that book, Author John Medina did such a heavy job by quoting them.

We often tend to believe education is knowing or pretending to know each and every thing but it’s not. Lets take an example, If suppose you are keeping updates on weather via the internet , you might have all the key facts about day’s weather happenings but is that intelligence, No. That is being informative. But if you study each and every day’s weather, consciously, know the significance of sun and moon’s position , cloud’s shapes and sizes, bird’s activity and climate background, then you might be able to predict weather on your own without any dependency. That is education. That doesn’t mean you need to know each and every happenings on this planet that deeply , but if you are consciously present and doing self learning, predicting facts and rechecking and redeeming them (learning) persistently , then you are educating yourself. Because the independence, clarity, perspective, inquisitivity , information and knowledge which you get by doing such a process , must be the main aim of EDUCATION, which sadly our institutions are failing to recognize.

Weather example was to make easier for you all to comprehend the intended perception. Again if we analyze it , we might see knowing facts through internet didn’t provide much except information, “dependent information”. But knowing the process behind it , will accord soared standards towards other things in life ,where no dependency is required. Some people might think it to be a tedious process, yes it’s true, only because you all didn’t inhibited these observations through your paradigm of life by your respective schools and colleges, otherwise it would have become your subconscious way of living .Suppose if we would have been taught this in schools only, how independent and conscious we would have become to the other aspects of our lives.

Well if you google Education Etymology it will tell you ,
“the word “education” is derived from the Latin word ēducō (“I educate, I train”) which is related to the homonym ēdūcō (“I lead forth, I take out; I raise up, I erect”).

It says, I EDUCATE,I TRAIN,I LEAD FORTH, I TAKE OUT, I RAISE UP, I ERECT.

Basically being the best of myself. What do you think is the best way to know about mountains? To read books about it or to travel and gasp that deep breath of fresh air to the fore of that mountain. Here comes the point, we all are basically, reading books about places when we must travel . Education does not work in four walls with the same pattern , it demands smashing the monotony, inventing new paths .For example, think about a child ,if you are going to ask any random child in any amount, 99% chance is they will not be very likely to study and one can easily guarantee that the rest 1% are trapped in the game of shallow competition. Gaining knowledge should be extremely intriguing process, so why are students not affable with it? Why extracurricular activities, games, television, mobile games excite them more? If it would have been a mere matter of “enjoying break time” then one would have understood but the ugly truth is that , if given freedom they would eliminate studies from their life. If one has to learn about sun, moon and stars, should they be taught through pages of books or they should be taken to fields to experience sun, moon and stars and demonstrate them their significance with example ,tell them stories so that next day they could tell you even more about that particular topic than you know. What would you have preferred? They enjoy gaming and other stuff because these things win their mind and attention and give them complete consciousness. These things break monotony because no day is same with games, everyday they explore something new which soars their energies, they are in each and every moment while they indulge in such activities. Of course a child is not supposed to come up with the precise answer of “What he wants to be in life” that is because this question is asked way before time , but what should a child be able to answer, herself or himself, is about the IMPACTS OF EDUCATION .

I would like to conclude my topic with nothing more powerful than insights of some successful people with their powerful sayings on education-

“Our schools are not teaching students to think. It is astonishing how many young people have difficulty in putting their brains definitely and systematically to work…”
-Thomas Edison

“Education is what remains after one has forgotten what one has learned in school.”” Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.”
-Albert Einstein

“Education is preeminently a matter of quality, not amount”
-Henry Ford

“At first, children must gather knowledge through their life because children are in love with their life, and it is their first love. All its color and movement attract their eager attention, and then they will renounce their lives to gain knowledge“
-Rabindranath Tagore

Some of the brightest minds in the country can be found on the last benches of the class room.
-Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam
